EMC2 is looking for to hire part-time counselors and marriage & family therapists to be a part of our growing practice. As a minority-based women-owned company, we are seeking skilled professionals (and new Master-level graduates) that want to be part of a dynamic team of women that are seeking to serve our communities. We are looking for culturally competent counselors with a dedication to provide mental health services that will change the stigma of mental health.

 

A qualified candidate should have the following:

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling, or a related subject from an accredited university. (Transcript will be requested)

  • Training in providing psychotherapy for an individual and/or group experience (Practicum & Internship courses may qualify for new graduates)

  • Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (counselor-in-training)

  • Able to work with a wide range of mental health disorders both diagnosed and undiagnosed

  • Able to collaborate with clinicians, treatment team members and stakeholders

  • Able to pass a FBI background check and a child abuse background check for DC and MD

  • No pending ethical dilemmas on your license.

  • Ability to be serve clients using cultural competency and non-judgment during treatment

  • Able to participate in monthly group supervision and company meetings (Saturdays)

 

The practice provides clinical supervision towards licensure and possibilities for professional development opportunities. Each counselor will have access to 1 of 4 fully furnished and equipped offices.

 

Potential clinicians will have autonomy with their schedules, clients, and self-management. Some evening and weekend hours are preferred. Counselors in training are encouraged to apply.
